Overview:

ALR Engineering provided civil engineering services for the expansion of the Freig Carrillo Warehouse, doubling the facility’s footprint from 12,000 to 24,000 square feet. Located in Nogales, AZ, the site required thoughtful planning and coordination to accommodate increased warehouse operations, new loading docks, and optimized site maneuverability for freight traffic.

Scope of Work:

• Site grading and drainage layout for expanded building footprint
• Coordination of utility connections for upgraded electrical service and fire suppression
• Parking and circulation planning for semi-truck access and employee vehicles
• Civil plan preparation and submittals for municipal review
• Construction supervision support throughout site development

Outcome:

The project was completed on time and expanded the client’s warehousing capacity with upgraded infrastructure for potential cold storage conversion. The inclusion of concealed drainage and maneuvering space helped ensure efficient operation and visual appeal while meeting permitting requirements.
