Overview:

ALR Engineering provided civil engineering services and construction coordination for the development of a 25,000-square-foot cold storage warehouse and office facility for MAS Melons & Grapes in Rio Rico, Arizona. Designed to support flexible commodity handling and temperature control, the project required comprehensive infrastructure planning and precise site development within an active industrial park.

Scope of Work:

• Site grading and drainage layout for cold storage facility
• Civil support for installation of prefab 18,000 sq. ft. cold room within metal structure
• Coordination of fire suppression and insulation systems
• Construction administration and on-site supervision throughout warehouse and dock buildout
• Collaboration with general contractor and architect to ensure jurisdictional compliance

Outcome:

The project was successfully completed with a highly functional cold chain warehouse that includes multiple temperature-controlled rooms, secure dock areas, and integrated office space. ALR’s civil oversight ensured reliable site drainage, compliant utility layout, and smooth coordination across disciplines.
