Overview:

ALR Engineering delivered civil engineering and construction supervision services for the development of a 63,800-square-foot cold storage warehouse for ACACIA Land & Storage in Nogales, Arizona. The facility was designed to support high-volume produce handling with flexible temperature zones, secure truck access, and compliant drainage infrastructure.

Scope of Work:

• Civil site design and grading for warehouse and dock areas
• Drainage planning to manage stormwater runoff and prevent flooding
• Coordination of utility systems to support cold room operations and fire suppression
• Construction administration and on-site supervision throughout site development
• Integration of cold storage infrastructure with insulated metal building systems

Outcome:

The completed warehouse includes an 18,000-square-foot prefabricated cold room with multiple temperature-controlled chambers, a large-scale pre-engineered metal structure, and over 7,000 square feet of finished office space. ALR’s involvement ensured code-compliant development, smooth field execution, and efficient integration of infrastructure systems for long-term facility performance.
